The Parker Tracking System from Parker’s Hose Products Division keeps vehicles and machines running longer by increasing the speed, timing and accuracy of acquiring replacement hose assemblies. Uniquely encoded tracking labels incorporate visual data, barcodes and optional RFID technology. The code includes where and when the hose assembly was made, what hose, fittings and accessories were used, and the length of the hose. The labels are affixed to the assembly at the time it is made. In addition, the system features a web-based software system that can be accessed securely through an Internet connection. Customers can reference the code on the label and relay that information to Parker, which can then prepare an identical replacement assembly.
