Production Brief Report of China Basic Machine Parts and Accessories Industry from January to May 2012

In May 2012, the national machine parts and accessories industry experienced slight decline in the growth rate of production and sales year on year, but slight increase if counted quarter to quarter.
I. Slight decline in the growth rate of production and sales
In May 2012, the national machine parts and accessories industry realized a total industrial output value of 129.739 billion yuan, with the YoY increase of 12.49 % and the QoQ negative growth of 2.41%; sales output value of 127.137 billion yuan, with the YoY increase increase of 12.43% and the QoQ negative growth of 2.46 %. The sales-output ratio was 97.99 % in May, 0.05 % points increased compared with previous month.
From January to May, the national machine parts and accessories industry realized a total industrial output value of 578.454 billion yuan, with the cumulative YoY increase of 14.27 %; the sales output value of 563.990 billion yuan, with the cumulative YoY increase of 14.62 %. The sales-output ratio was 97.5%.
The YoY growth rate of 11 sub-industries subordinate to the machine parts and accessories industry all increased in May but showed small differences. Wherein, the mold manufacturing sector realized the highest year-on-year growth rate, up to 33.94 %, while the fastener manufacturing sector showed the lowest year-on-year growth rate, up to 1.29 %. In terms of the indusry sales value, the mold manufacturing sector realized the biggest YoY increase of 29.94 %, while the fastener manufacturing sector showed the smallest of 2.95 % .
II. Slight rebound in the export delivery value
In May 2012, the national machine parts and accessories industry realized an export delivery value of 1.2131 billion yuan, with the YoY increase of 4.10 % and QoQ growth of 3.07 %.
The YoY growth rate of 11 sub-industries subordinate to the machine parts and accessories industry showed small differencesin May. Wherein, the gears & gearbox manufacturing sector showed a larger increase of 32.14 %, while the general parts and components manufacturing sector experienced a negative growth of 12.68 %.
From January to May, the national machine parts and accessories industry realized an accumulated export delivery value of 54.04 billion yuan, with an increase of 8.23% year on year. Wherein, the forging and powder metallurgy products manufacturing sector maintained a higher growth rate in export of 25.53%; while the fastener manufacturing sector experienced a negative growth of 2.63 %.
III. Output of main products
In May 2012, the ten prime products of main products in the machine parts and accessories industry showed slight differences in the growth rate. Wherein, the hydraulic components sector experienced a negative growth of 17.30 %, while the gear industry grew significantly faster than other industries with the YoY growth rate up to 56.76%.
From January to May, the cumulative product output in the machine parts and accessories industry increased as a whole. Wherein, the hydraulic components sector showed the year-on-year negative growth of 6.55 %, while the metal seals sector realized the year-on-year growth rate of 98.18%.
