National Standard for Wind Turbine Bearings drawn up under the auspices of LYC passed the Pre-trial of GB Committee

On June 28, two national standards: "Rolling bearings wind turbine yaw/pitch bearings" and "Rolling bearings wind turbine spindle bearings" prepared under the auspices of LYC passed the the Pre-trial of the GB Committee for Bearing Industry. Since the launch of the National Machinery Industry Standard of People's Republic of China JB/T 10705-2007 "Rolling bearings wind turbine bearings" prepared under the auspices of LYC IN 2007, it has played a positive role in the design, manufacture, testing, acceptance of wind turbine bearings as well as the serialization, specialization, standardization and universalization of such bearings. However, it has restricted the rapid development of wind power industry as the provisions in the standard about wind turbine bearings are too general and not normative, which make it difficult to implement or operate. For this reason, and to meet higher requirements on bearing performance, LYC undertook the establishment task of these two national standards according to the arrangements of the GB Committee and China Machinery Industry Federation.
