Baosteel Signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Yangpu District in Creating No.2 Steel Plant into Accumulation Area with Modern Steel Featured Service

On 12th October, Baosteel signed the NO.2 steel plant strategic cooperation framework agreement with Yangpu District. Both parties will be engaged in creating NO.2 steel plant district into a modern steel featured service industry park with unified planning, functional concentration, formed novelty, ecological harmony, as well as a model for the cooperation development between the central rate and the local government.
The presents for the ceremony signing are: Baosteel group co., LTD., chairman of the board, Xu LeJiang, Deputy general manager Zhou ZhuPing, The old leadership OuYang YingPeng, Yangpu district party committee secretary ChenYin, District party committee deputy secretary JinXingMing. The representatives of both parties are: Baosteel real estate management center general manager Gu BaiSong, Yangpu district deputy district Wang zhen, who signed on the strategic cooperation framework agreement.
No.2 steel plant is located in Yangpu district, Zhoujiazui Road, Huangxing Road with the occupation of land for 341 mu. In 1998, Baosteel acquired the No2 steel company. Since 2006, the No 2 steel company started the industrial adjustment to implement the aim of transition development strategy and energy conservation and emmision reduction, with relocating and closing down many product lines. After the stop production for No 2 steel company, the plant area land needed to be redeveloped and exploited to drive the surroundings improvement and urban area development in No 2 steel plant.
After many negotiations and communications between Baosteel and Yangpu District, both parties confirmed the cooperative development program to make use of the No 2 steel plant together. According to the agreement, both parties will depend on the Baosteel industrial advantages with the demand of "innovation-driven, transition development "in Shanghai local government. Based on the intensive utilization in land resources and regional sustainable development, they will comprehensively develop the No2 steel plant stock land, transform and retain the office building with the creation of modern steel featured service accumulation area, the promotion of regional industrial function and optimization human living environment, the improvement for regional employment surroundings and talent structure, the realization for sustainable development in regional economy society.
As Chenyin pointed out that the strategy cooperation agreement between Baosteel and Yangpu District is facing the future. Yangpu District will fully support and serve for Baosteel in the construction of No2 steel district, strengthening cooperation in program plan quantity, formation design, buildup function, etc to strive for No 2 steel district construction as a new highlight for Baosteel in shanghai.
Xulejiang shown his appreciation for the support of Yangpu District committee, and district government. The development for Baosteel in emerging industry in No 2 steel plant is in accordance with the 12th five year development plan and the demand of "innovation-driven, transition development" in shanghai. Baosteel will make solid progress in the land development utilization and construction in No 2 steel plant to win-win develop with Yangpu District.
