Kaman Subsidiary Receives Boeing Supplier of the Year Award

Kaman Corporation(NYSE:KAMN) Monday announced that its subsidiary, Kaman Engineering Services, was presented with a Boeing Supplier of the Year award for its exceptional performance and contributions to Boeing’s overall success during 2012. Kaman Engineering Services was one of sixteen companies and one university to receive the award, which was presented during a ceremony at the San Diego Convention Center held on April 18, 2013. The Everett, Washington, based company was selected from a pool of Boeing suppliers located in more than 50 countries.
The Boeing global supply chain is among the most geographically dispersed in manufacturing. The company annually purchases more than $50 billion in goods and services from more than 23,000 suppliers that employ more than 1.2 million people around the world.
"Kaman Aerospaceis extremely pleased to be recognized as a Boeing Supplier of the Year for our engineering expertise and services in support of a number of Boeing programs. Our team has and continues to provide value added cost saving solutions for Boeing across the 747 and 787 platforms. Kaman Engineering Services provides Boeing with highly experienced engineers that can draw on Kaman's knowledge of tooling and manufacturing for metals and composites, producing a manufacturable solutionearlier inthe program development cycle. Kaman Aerospace Group provides Boeing and other customers with a full range of support; from systems engineering for composites, metals and bondments, including concurrent tooling engineering and fabrication, through final assembly of complex aerostructures, allowing Kaman to provide a compressed development schedule in support of our customers on new programs.
The selection of the winning suppliers was based on statistical measurements of quality, on-time delivery, post-delivery support, cost and the ability to anticipate and respond to changing customer requirements.
