"A cyclical dynamic loading test machine for aircraft engine bearings" jointly developed by Luoyang Gongming Machinery and Electric Device Co., Ltd. and Xi'an Jiaotong University has passed the verification test for scientific and technical achievements on July 28, 2013 carried out by an appraisal committee composed of experts and professors from the China Bearing Industry Association, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Henan University of Technology, Henan Key Laboratory of Mechanical Design and Transmission, AVIC Shenyang Aeroengine Research Institute, Luoyang bearing Research Institute and other research institutes, which indicates that China has established its own brand of aircraft engine bearings cyclical dynamic loading test machine. According to the related experts, the performance of the newly developed bearing test machine is higher than similar products in the West because of its high technical specifications. The mechanical design is more reasonable with the overall automatic control and advanced measuring technology, which allows the testing of rotational speeds under any different load, as well as bearing life and reliability. This machine is an ideal option for cyclical dynamic contact fatigue tests of large bearings such as aeroengine bearings and wind turbine bearings, high-speed rail bearings, rolling mill bearings, etc. and simulation of actual bearing load spectrum, speed spectrum and temperature conditions, and with the data obtained by testing, the bearing design and manufacturing can be properly improved.
