Expanding its range of products for the boating market, Webasto Thermo & Comfort reached an agreement with Manufacturers Edge and is now the exclusive North American distributor of KoolAir Pumps for the marine industry. To launch and celebrate this used relationship, the company is hosting a reception at the Miami International Boat Show on February 12, 2015 from 3–6 pm in Webasto's booth #1820. KoolAir Pumps can be ordered through any Webasto dealer.
"We couldn't be more excited to enter this agreement with Webasto, a leader in marine heating and cooling solutions," said Michael Caringi, KoolAir Pumps CEO. "Having Webasto as a partner throughout North America will ensure our products gain an even wider reach."
When air conditioning fails, it's usually the result of a pump running dry. That is why KoolAir Pumps were designed with Run Dry Protection, leaving owners cool under any condition. All KoolAir Pumps come with a two-year warranty and an extended limited lifetime parts warranty.
"Manufacturers Edge has been in the fluid handling equipment industry for over 40 years, contributing a lot to the evolution of pumps for a wide range of applications. We know their products will exceed our customers' expectations," said David Wollard, Webasto Thermo & Comfort director of marine division.
KoolAir Pumps' PM500, PM1000 and TPM1000 models are offered in 115V and 230V. The TPM1000 can change between the two voltages with the flip of a switch, while the PM500 is fully submersible with a waterproof epoxy coated, thermally protected motor. Supplied with sealed bearings, the PM1000 also comes with a lube-free motor design. All three models feature hardened carbon bushings.
A distributor for industrial, commercial and marine pump products, Manufacturers Edge, Inc. has been in business since the 1960s. The company entered the manufacturing market with Chugger Pumps®, a magnetically driven pump, used for brewing beer. It is now one of the largest suppliers of pumps within the home brewing industry. Manufacturers Edge also produces Pilotech® and AquaTruck Pumps, which are used within the irrigation industry, both for residential and commercial applications.
