Germany’s INA to launch new Czech plant

German manufacturer INA has unveiled plans to establish a new production facility in Svitavy, the Czech Republic. The investment will be carried out by local subsidiary INA Lanskroun, which makes plastic injection forms and automotive components with the use of plastics and other material, reports local news agency CIA News. The designed plant is to be located in the Paprsek industrial zone, in the country’s eastern part, on a site with a total surface of about 60,000 square metres, according to data from Jan Golon, the executive director of INA Lanskroun. A letter of intent to purchase the land plot has already been signed. The project is estimated to be worth some CZK 500m. Under the plan, as much as 1,500 workers are to be employed at the production facility, and by 2020, the Czech factory will be operated by at least 1,000 workers. The manufacturer already operates a plant in Lanskroun, in close proximity of Svitavy, and makes its output with the use of PA, PVC, PUR and other materials. INA is part of the Schaeffler Group, an integrated automotive and industrial supplier with more than 80,000 employees worldwide. The manufacturer says it owns plants, research and development facilities, and other subsidiaries in 49 countries.
