Gamesa has signed its first contract with the Belgian renewable energy producer Elicio for the supply of 18 MW at Quint wind farm, located in Flers-Sur-Noye, in the Picardy region, in Northern France. Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will handle the transportation, installation and commissioning of 9 of its G97-2.0 MW turbines. Delivery of the turbines is set to begin in September 2016, with the facility slated for commissioning in the first quarter of 2017. The agreement also encompasses the provision of operations and maintenance services for 15 years. Gamesa has had a presence in France since 2000. The company is a leading industrial group in this market, installing 788 MW. Its comprehensive response includes also the development, construction and sale of wind farms, as well as the wind turbine's operation and maintenance services, through high-value-added programmes to maximise energy output, improve availability and reduce O&M costs with the aim of optimising cost of energy (CoE) for its customers.
