Gamesa is taking over AREVA’s offshore wind activities. Following on from the agreement signed with Gamesa on June 17, 2016, France-based AREVA’s stake in Adwen wind turbines was sold January 2017. That means Gamesa is taking over AREVA’s offshore wind activities. This sale is part of the transformation plan undertaken by AREVA to refocus its business on nuclear fuel cycle activities. Commitments made as part of the tender process for offshore wind farms in France will remain borne by Adwen.
