China Electric Power Research Institute received certification for wind turbine testing from of IECRE

It is known from IECRE (International Electrotechnical Commission Renewable energy) that China Electric Power Research Institute(hereinafter referred to as CEPRI) was officially awarded the Certificate of Accredited Laboratory of International Electrotechnical Commission by IECRE on March 3, which is the first testing institute in Asia winning the recognition of IECRE. The approved testing range by CEPRI involves power performance test and load test of wind turbines, which cover the whole test items certified by IECRE. Up ro now, only 5 laboratories in the globe won the 2 certificates. In order to meet the needs of new energy development on a large scale in China, CEPRI has worked on building up the testing ability since 2007 and been successively certified by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), China Metrology Accreditation (CMA) and MEASNET (Measuring Network of Wind Energy Institutes), an international Wind power testing organization. Its accreditation by IECRE marked another milestone after becoming a member of MEASNET. Its accreditation by IECRE is not only conductive to the acceptance and trust of CEPRI by the globe, but to pushing China's wind power industry toward the international market.
