Anben Steel Group--A Promising Power in China Steel Market

Two large steel companies in northeast China had formed a new Anben Steel Group in Shenyang Liaoning province in the middle August. The new company was formed by the former Anshan Steel Group and Benxi Steel Group, both are the powerful state-owned steel enterprises, being listed in the top 10 of China Steel Powers. In addition, they all play an important role in Chinese metallurgy industry. In the past 2004, Anshan Steel's annual output of steel and crude steel reached 10.5975million tons and 11.3333million tons respectively, annual sales and profit hit RMB50.142billion yuan and RMB10.838billion yuan. Benxi Steel's annual output of steel and crude steel reached 4.549million tons and 5.494million tons respectively, annual sales and profit hit RMB23.52billion and 0.906billion yuan respectively. The two company all equiped with the world class manufacturing crafts and equipments. The current capacity of Anben Steel has hit 20million tons per year, annual sales reached RMB100billion yuan. Predictively, the annual output of Anben Steel will hit 30million tons in 2010, which might make them one of the most competitive power in world steel market. Meanwhile, Anben Steel has prefered open policy very much, they will be pleased to cooperate with foreign enterprises.
