Three Problems Restrain China Bearing Industry Development

Currently, there are three problems in China bearing industry, which restrain its development.
Firstly, low manufacturing concentration ratio.
Among 3000 billion of the global bearing sales a, 8 MNC account for 75%～80%. Two largest Germany companies shared 90% sales of its domestic market. Five Japan companies account for 90% of its local market. One America company shares 56% of its American market, while the top ten China bearing companies only share 24.7% in China. The concentration ratio of the top 30 bearing companies was only 37.4%.
Analysts attribute this situation to the following three factors. One is the larger size state-run enterprises develop relatively slowly owing to their system and mechanism. Second, the promising private and civilized enterprises are still in the period of shaping. Last is the low level overlapped construction, which resulted in the oversupply of the common bearing.
Secondly, poor manufacturing ability.
There are only 200 the automatic bearing production line. Most enterprises, especially the stated-owned enterprises still adopted the traditional manufacturing equipment. Some high technology which is crucial to the bearing life and quality have not been extensively applied, such as bainite quenching, controlled atmosphere heat treatment. Many technical difficulties have not broken through until now. The lubricating, cooling, cleaning and related techniques are still under development.
Last, poor innovation ability.
The design and manufacturing technology is basically the same as several decades ago. Though the ratio of accessoriness hit 80% in domestic market, the matched and maintenance bearing for railway express, computer, air-conditioner, advanced rolling mill are still depend on import. The innovation should be improved further.
