China Reduce Customs Duty Against Machinery Products & Parts

Since Jan.1 2006, customs duty on automobiles will be changed from 30% to 28% and this rate will last till July 1. From then on, it will be 25%; the rate for automobile parts will be decreased to 10%, from 2005's 12.27%. There will be no customs duty on machinery products and parts that delivered from Hongkong/Macow to China mainland since Jan.1 2006. However, the products must be processed in Hongkong or Macow and after the process the products should have at least 30 percent's value-add.
