President George W. Bush will visit The Timken Company's Research facility in Canton on Thursday. While there, he is scheduled to deliver a broadcast speech promoting his extensive $500+ billion tax-cut and economic stimulus package now being negotiated in congress.

Air Force One will touch down at the Akron-Canton airport around 10:30AM. While Timken's world headquarters is some distance away and requires negotiating narrow streets, Timken Research is a standalone facility just down the road from the airport. Timken employees from headquarters are being invited to attend the President's visit.

The President has scheduled approximately 90 minutes to meet with Timken employees, deliver his speech and tour the facility. The traveling White House press corps will also be in attendance.

The Timken Company and Timken family have long been important Republican party supporters and fundraisers.
