Vestas to supply Turbines of 53MW to Finland (pic)

HELSINKI: The world’s largest turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems, agreed to supply equipment with 53 megawatts of capacity for a project in Finland.

Vestas expects to deliver the 16 3.3 megawatt turbines to EPV Tuulivoima in the first quarter of next year, the manufacturer said in a statement. The order includes a six-year service agreement. Terms weren’t disclosed.The Ilmajoki Santavuori wind farm is expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2016 and contribute to Finland’s goal of producing at least 30 percent of its power from renewable sources by 2020.
