SKF contributes to Jeep Renegade’s driving pleasure

Gothenburg, Sweden, 23 February 2016: SKF is supplying the FCA Group with solutions for their compact SUV model, the Jeep Renegade. The products being supplied are wheel hub bearing units for front and rear wheels, shock absorber seals, transmission seals and engine seals.

Every four-wheel drive Jeep Renegade is equipped with Selec-Terrain traction control. This system allows the driver to tune traction settings according to road conditions. The Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud settings are specifically tailored to ensure optimum traction and fuel-efficient operation. SKF’s bearings and seals are designed to meet the robustness and performance requirements of the Renegade, contributing to an efficient, comfortable and smooth driving experience.

SKF is already supplying similar components for the Fiat 500X, which is based on the same platform as the Jeep Renegade. The bearing units and seals are presently supplied from SKF’s factories in Italy, Germany, Korea and Brazil.
