Stainless steel pedestal bearing housing units from NovoNox are used where highest corrosion resistance is required.
When developing pedestal bearings, requirements of the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries are paramount. One-piece housing version in 1.4301 was selected. The ball bearing comprises 1.4112, plain bearings made from POM can also be supplied on request.
The housing bore is executed in convex to eliminate any misalignments during the assembly. The bearing can thus be adapted up to ± 5°of the shaft.
Depending on the type and intensity of cleaning, it is recommended to lubricate the bearing at regular intervals. Suitable lubricating grease for this is simply applied with a stainless steel lube nipple
With regard to the dimensions and fastening, the pedestal bearings can be exchanged without problems against the already existing bearings. They can be supplied as pillow block unit or flanged housing unit and cover shaft diameter from 15 to 30 mm.
