XAB Practise Supplier Re-qualification to Prevent Qality Defect

March 8, XAB convened an emergency meeting to deal with customer’s complaints about product quality. All major management officers attended this meeting, including Mr. Gao shaobing, chairman; Mr. Mao sujia, president; Mr. Wang guanbing, assistant president and other directors from quality control, technical, production and other relavant departments. The company said that the forging parts of that defect-products were sourced from one of their parts supplier. Since 2005, there have been several complaints about the quality defects caused by the disqualified forging parts, producing a substantial economic loss to XAB. During the first 3 months this year, similar defects occurred again and again. It has had a terrible impact on XAB’s products quality. In order to eliminate any hiden quality defects, XAB annouced that they will carry out a re-qualification on all their former parts suppliers. Mr. Gao shaobing stressed :“From now on products that had long been complainted about must be made by ourselves. Nothing should be made by others, if we are able to made it.” In addition, he said: “The re-qualification should be practised under rigorous regulation. Anyone who can not meet our quality requirments must be gotten rid of.”
