Baotou Steel Invite Bid for Rolling Machine Bearings

Baotou Iron & Steel Group(BISG) convened a bid inviting meeting for the bearings for rollers on the rolling machines which will be used in producing large thick sheet steel. There have been three foreign enterprises placed their bids. The large thick sheet steel project is an important step of BISG to increase steel output to 10 million tons and have a change of their products mix. The company are planning to invest RMB2 billion into this project. After compeletion of the project, annual output of large thick sheet steel will reach 1.4 million tons and other related auxiliary public facilities are expected to be available. The bearing here is a critical component of the rolling machine. In order to guarantee the quality and reduce the purchase cost, BISG deliberately held a bid inviting meeting for the bearing, regardless of other parts of the machine.
