Bearing Export Via Beilun Port Exceed 5 million Sets Up to July According to Ningbo Customs, from Jan. to July, bearings exported via Beilun port had reached 516 million sets, worth USD163 million. The two figures increased by a year-on-year 7.7 and 9.4 percentage points respectively. (all following comparisions are on a year-on-year basis) Bearings export is dominated by common trade, through which export volume were 494 million sets, increased by 8.1%, accounting for 95.7% of the total export volume. As the major export destinations, EU bought 105 million sets, increased by 20.7%; for American, 68.18 million sets, incresaed by 27.5%; and for West Asian countries, 71.47 million sets, decreased by 24.4%. Export to the above three destinations took up 47.4% of the whole. Of the exporters, foreign-funded and state-run enterprises rank highest in export volume, with 175 million sets, grew by 31.2% and 162 million sets, grew by 5.2% respectively. Both accounted for 65.3% of total. Ball bearings remain the major export items, with export volume reaching 507 million sets, 7.2% higher than last year. Ball bearing export took up 98.3% of the local bearings export. However, weak points of Chinese bearing industry still be exposed. Lack of diversity become the most fundamental problem, which means Chinese bearings are increasingly possible to suffer from anti-dumping accusation by other countries.
