Wafangdian City：Bearing Industry Supplies 50,000 Jobs

At the beginning of autumn, in the Precision Technology and Manufacturing Industry Park of ZWZ in Wafangdian, Liaoning Province, the production lines comprised of advanced CNC machine tools of millions of RMB are running full-loaded. About 500 bearing enterprises gathers in Wafangdian, of which the products ranges from the superior and middle grade to the low-end. The city supplies about 50,000 jobs and is praised as the China Bearing Capital.
According to the President of ZWZ Wang Lushun, Wafangdian Bearing Plant has become a modernized group with 13,000 employees. Facing the global financial crisis, ZWZ speeds up the reformation and innovation of technology and achieves the adjustment and optimization of product structure. In the first quarter this year, they have developed about 300 kinds of new products, in which 80% is for replacement of the high-end products in the equipment manufacturing industry.
ZWZ is just like a huge magnet, which drives and guides 500 large and small bearing enterprises to develop. Dalian Ruigu Technology Co., Ltd. has reached cooperation with ZWZ and it provides 40,000 sets of bearing cages for ZWZ each month.
In order to accelerate the bearing enterprises to form core competition, the Bearing Industry Bureau was newly established this year in Wafangdian, where the bearing industry reviving plan was just approved. They plan to redesign and redeploy the bearing industry, boost the adjustment of industry structure with all the strength, and guide the enterprises to divide the work and coordinate professionally, to conduct the staggered development and to avoid the small and complete pattern.
It is known that the regional production value of Wafangdian is up to 21.85 billion RMB in the first quarter this year, up 22.1% over the same period of last year, in which the production value of bearing industry is 6.5 billion RMB, up 15% over the same period of last year.
