Wengfu Phosphate Plant Changed Lubricating Oil into Grease to Save Consumption & Improve Efficiency

Wengfu Phosphate Plant invested less than 500 yuan to change the lubricating oil of water pump bearings into grease, which not only reduced the maintenance cost but also reduced about 51,000 yuan of the fuel expense per month. After numerous repair and rectification, the hot & cold circulating water pump bearings in the plant still leaked oil, thus the plant set up a technology research team. They decided to use grease instead of lubricating oil after repeated analysis of the lubrication theory. Consequently, the results showed that grease is better than lubricating oil in the process of cooling, meanwhile the grease solved the longstanding water pump bearing oil leakage problem. Now changing lubricating oil to grease in the hot & cold circulating water pump bearings has been successfully put into operation, which can reduce about 40 kg fuel consumption per day.
