The Export of Bearings in Cixi Increased a lot in the First Three Quarters

According to the statistics from Ningbo Customs, the enterprises in Cixi exported 0.96 billion pieces of bearings which valued 0.29 billion dollars in the first half of this year, respectively increased by 58.3% and 63.2% compared with the same period of last year, and the exports accounted for 70.1% of the total exports in Ningbo, slightly higher than the average level (increased by 57%). The general trade exports accounted for an absolute proportion, about 99.9% of the total exports. EU and India are the top two export markets, in the first three quarters, Ningbo enterprises exported 0.21 billion pieces of bearings to EU, 0.2 billion pieces to India, which respectively increased by 94.5% and 45.1%. The exports mainly focused on the medium-grade products, and the deep groove ball bearings exported 0.93 billion pieces, increased by 58.2%, and accounted for 96.9% of the total exports. Ningbo is the important bearing production & export base in China, bearings produced in Ningbo as one key export oriented products have won good reputation at the excellent quality in the whole world. However, some bearing enterprises in Ningbo often withstand the anti-dumping investigations and other trade barriers due to the lacking of independent intellectual property rights, single brand products structure, meanwhile part of products still in the low-cost competition. It is suggested that the relevant departments should actively guide the enterprises to increase the investment of products researching & developing, speed up intellectual property and brand building, thus to maintain the sustainable development of the bearing exports in Ningbo.
