The grease manufacturing plant SHELL with the largest production in the global held the foundation stone laying ceremony in Zhuhai on December 14, 2010. This new grease manufacturing plant will produce lubrication products used for passenger cars and industrial bearings, and the annual production is expected to reach 40,000 tons, which is mainly to meet the continuous growth demanding of grease (solid, change into lubricating oil after being processed) in China, but may also be exported to other markets. With the popularity of private cars in China, the rapid development of China's lubricants market has become a competition arena for foreign oil enterprises, and has sped up to enter into the Chinese market. At present, SHELL has ranked first for its market share in China among the international oil suppliers. The reporters have learned that almost all the multinational oil giants like SHELL、BP、EXXONMOBIL have been included among the ranks for snatching China's lubricants market, meanwhile they have competed with the domestic brand SINOPEC in the high-end market.
