The World's First Permanent Magnetic Suspension Rotating Machine was Developed

The permanent magnetic turbine designed by Suzhou University and joint developed by Suzhou Shenhua Low-temperature Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu University Electromechanical General Factory was tested successfully in full-load with a initial rotating speed of 20,000 rpm. The permanent magnetic suspension is a combination of permanent magnets or magnetic, maintaining the non-mechanical (ball bearing) contact balance with the mutual magnetic force. Professor of Jiangsu University, Mr. Qian Kunxi studied on introducing the artificial heart pump from gyroscopic effects of permanent magnetic suspension rotary for ten years. It is confirmed from experiments that it can generate stable rotary and gyroscopic effects when the permanent magnetic rotating body reaches a certain speed. Moreover, under dynamic conditions, the greater and more stable the permanent magnetic suspension rotating machine rotates, the more stable and higher the speed will be, which laid a foundation for improvement and industrialization of permanent magnetic levitation machinery. His study work has gained three China patents so far.
