In order to better implement the relevant decisions of the equipment manufacturing industry revitalization planning made by the State Council, to promote the
implementation of the document spirit of Notice of Adjustment of Import Tax Policy of Major Technical Equipment (FC tariff [2009] No. 55), the spirit of the
document, and to promote the smooth implementation of the major technical equipment import tax policy, the Finance Division under Ministry of Industry and
Information Technology held the Working Conference for Import Tax Policy of Major Technical Equipment in Beijing on February 28, 2012. The responsible
comrades from Departments of Electronics, Electronics, and Finance under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, General Administration of
Customs, State Administration of Taxation, National Energy Board, all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, cities specifically designated in the state plan, competent authority of industry and information under Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, relevant central enterprises and subordinate institutions attended the meeting.
The theme pf the conference is: To summarize the implementation of the Import Tax Policy of Major Technical Equipment in 2012, to further standardize the declaration of the major technical equipment import tax policy, and to improve the quality and efficiency of tax-free audit; to explain and describe the inventory adjustments of equipment and product catalogs and the list of imported key parts and the list of all raw materials related to the major technical equipment import tax policy; to arrange each specific work for the implementation of the major technical equipment import tax policy.
Ma Xianghui, the deputy director of the Finance Division under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Xiangdong, the deputy director of Division of equipment manufacturing industry attended the meeting. Ma Xianghui summarized the implementation of the major technical equipment tax policy, the experience and problems of the audit activities; affirmed the performance of the competent department of local industry and information technology and put forward specific requirements to the future work. Li Dong made a speech about the development of equipment manufacturing industry, the situation the industy now faces, the "12th Five Year" development planning, as well as the major technical equipment import tax policies.
