65-M Radio Telescope by LTZC Appeared in Shanghai

On April 17, 2012, 65-M radio telescope appeared in Shanghai, with the antenna hoisting work completed. In the picture below, engineers and technicians are installing the fine-tuning institution of its sub-reflector surface. In the same day, the antenna hoisting work of the 65-M radio telescope, 70 meters high and over 2600 t heavy, has been successful completed, and the whole work is expected to be completed within this year. By then, a huge "ear" will be erected at the foot of Sheshan (Shanghai), which can clearly hear the faint radio signals deep inside the universe, and observe the celestial bodies 100 light-years distant.
