Flash Report of Production and Sales in Machinery Industry from January to April 2012

From January to April 2012, the production and sales of China machinery industry have experienced decline in both the year-on-year growth and the annulus growth. The only exception is the export delivery value, which has increased significantly last month, up to 44.25%.
I. Decline in Production and Sales
In April 2012, the national construction machinery industry realized a total industrial output value of 59.785 billion yuan, down 5.88% in terms of year-on-year growth while down 11.27% in terms of annulus growth; sales value of 56.863 billion yuan, up -6.63% in terms of year-on-year growth while up 12.38% in terms of annulus growth. The output-sales rate in April was 95.11 %, 4.19 % decreased compared with last month.
From January to April 2012, the national machinery industry realized an accumulative total industrial output value of 206.622 billion, up 3.79% year-on-year; the sales output value of 197.329 billion, up 0.69% year-on-year. The output-sales rate from January to April was 95.5%.
II. Slight Increase in the Export Delivery Value
In April 2012, the national construction machinery industry realized export delivery value of 3.378 billion yuan, up 64.35% in terms of year-on-year growth while down 1.96% in terms of annulus growth. Wherein, the manufacturing industry for constructional engineering grows faster, with the year-on-year growth up to 67.62%.
During the first four months of this year, the national construction machinery industry realized an accumulative export delivery value of 11.007 billion yuan, with the cumulative increase of 43.89%.
III. Drop in Growth Rate of Most Products
In April 2012, the majority of five kinds of main products in the construction machinery industry experienced negative growth year-on-year. The only exception is the compaction machinery, of which the year-on-year growth was 459.04%, and to contrast, the mechanical loader suffered a negative growth of 42.60%.
From January to April, except the compaction machinery with substantial growth of 426.30% and concrete mechanery with growth rate of 8.64%, the other three sub-sectors in the construction machinery industry all experienced negative growth to varying degrees year-on-year.
