Wafangdian passed the review of "Bearing Capital of China"

A review meeting was held by the expert group for "Bearing Capital of China" on September 25, where the group members fully affirmed the achievements made by Wafangdian City duting the review, and agreed to grant it the title "Bearing Capital of China". According to the review group, Wafangdian has changed the original scale growth to the quality-efficiency growth, and has made outstanding historical contributions for China to grow from a big steel producing country to a stronger one and in the development of domestic equipment manufacturing industry. Wafangdian, the cradle of China's bearing industry, is an important part of the national strategy for the revitalization of the old industrial bases in Northeast China and the development of Liaoning coastal economic zone. Currently, an industry cluster has been formed in the City with ZWZ Group as the leader and scale enterprises as the main part. Large, medium and small bearing enterprises are given the chance for coordinated development there, and the related industies inclusing wind power equipment, machine tools, textile machinery, electronics, etc. are also growing fast. During the past five years, Wafangdian has become China's largest bearing industry gathering area for its significantly increased core competitiveness and market share. It is understood that by the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year" period, the bearing and related industries in Wafangdian is expected to realize an operating income of 101 billion yuan, wherein, the bearing industry is expected to earn 55 billion yuan.
