Baosteel Engineering won the bid of domestic widest Steckel mill project engineering

Recently, Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group won the bidding of 2250 mm Steckel mill production line project engineering contract . According to reports, the 2250 mm width Steckel mill, is the widest in china , and the second widest in the world. Fujian Wu Hang Company , located in Changle City, Fujian province, is a Sino-foreign joint iron and steel enterprises, classified as Fuzhou, the first batch of 20 key enterprises, which boasts existing steelmaking, hot rolling, hot-rolled wire rod production and supporting auxiliary facilities. It is designed of a total annual output of 1.2 million tons of stainless steel and premium steel, with the new steelmaking and continuous casting and rolling wire mill, and a full set of coil and plate production line including 2250 mm the Steckel mill production line and its supporting facilities . Engineering Technology Division of Baosteel Engineering will complete the overall process and plant design of 2250 mm the Steckel mill production line under the project contract by the end of this year. As is known that the Steckel mill rolling is a kind of process between a reversible rolling mill and two coiler furnaces, with less investment, production flexibility and adaptability in processing difficult deformed steels, recognized by experts. Baosteel Engineering project team will overcome much inconvenience caused by technical revamping on site , and strive to achieve a win-win for the customer by quality plant design and services in the most economical and reasonable way.
