A Man was Sentenced to 2 Years in Jail for Sale of Counterfeit Bearings

Recently, a suspect was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a fine of RMB 500,000 by People's Procuratorate for prosecution of Minhang District, Shanghai for sale of large amount of counterfeit famous bearing with money of more than RMB 1.77 million. Bearing is an important part for all types of machineries and equipments. The danger of counterfeit bearing is very big. If used for automobiles, it may cause a rollover, or if used for elevator, it may lead to stagnation. In mid-April, 2012, serveral internation famous beairng enterprises in Shanghai successively received complaints from customers about bearing quality problem. According to the customers, all the bearings they bought were from Shanghai Yingchuan Bearing Co., Ltd. Then these international famous bearing enterprises started to investigate this company and found that this company did in the sale of fake NSK, SKF, NTN bearings. So they called the police to arrest the atual operator.
