Igus set to exhibit latest energy chains and bearings solutions at ABTT Show 2014

Igus will be exhibiting its range of cable management systems, flexible cables and bearings solutions for the theatre industry at the ABTT Show in London. Visitors to the Igus stand will also see live demonstrations of its solutions as well as meet industry experts.
The company supplies a wide range of energy chains for the theatre and entertainment industry, enabling theatre technicians to easily manage cables, and the company’s compact energy chains have proven particularly popular in lifts, stages and lighting rigs.
The energy chain solutions include unsupported or gliding energy chains for horizontal energy supply, hanging and standing chains for vertical energy supply, as well as special solutions for rotating or retracting motion.
At this year’s show, Igus will be showcasing its E-spool and ‘zig-zag’ cable management systems; its Liftband cable carrier system; the Drylin W linear systems; and its stock plates.
Igus’ experts will be on hand during the show to provide advice and guidance on selecting energy chains, cabling assemblies and bearings for users’ specific application.

The cables and hoses can be quickly and easily installed due to the ‘easy chain’ principle of the energy chain

Linear systems suitable for camera slide systems
Lightweight and offer excellent rigidity
Their exceptional resistance to the ingress of dust and dirt, due to innovative dry-running technology is a particular benefit in theatre applications, and helps ensure smooth operation, even in the presence of sand or other contaminants
Stock plates
Can be used for customised parts, in all types of moving theatre and stage applications
The stock plates increase design flexibility for theatre technicians and engineers when customising special parts
As a result of using the Iglidur J stock plates, designers can specify machined parts such as wear plates and strips easily and cost-effectively with less waste
