Chicago, IL – The Power Transmission Distributors Association’s PTDA Foundation Vanguard Campaign has received contributions of nearly US$188,000 from 63 organizations and individuals as part of the kick-off its 2015 Fund Drive. By contributing to the PTDA Foundation as part of the Vanguard Campaign, these companies and invidicuals have taken a leading role in the movement to drive talented workers to the key positions of sales and customer service in industrial distribution through the Industrial Careers Pathway (ICP) program, says PTDA. The ICP initiative was founded and is significantly funded by the PTDA Foundation, with additional funding coming from several other industry associations and organizations. Funding from Vanguard and other contributors helps ICP get in front of the industry’s future workforce through participation at career fairs, job fairs and technical tradeshows as well as through social media channels and the website at idcareers.org. “We’ve received extraordinary support from the 2015 Vanguard contributions — 20% higher than last year,”says Barb Ross, director of rotary seals at Garlock Sealing Technologies and president of the PTDA Foundation. “It is challenging for companies to recruit those employees who will replace the industry’s retirees. With the collective efforts of our member companies through ICP, we are making face-to-face connections with the 16- to 34-year-olds who will be our field’s outstanding employees and future leaders. “I encourage every company to support this initiative and I give my sincere thanks to all 63 organizations and individuals for their vanguard support of the PTDA Foundation and its key initiative, the Industrial Careers Pathway.” Contributors to date for 2015 include: Partner ($15,000+) Harold C.
