ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport ready for Formula E title race

Next weekend (July 2/3), Lucas di Grassi will have the chance to enter his name in the history books of motorsport as the new Formula E Champion. The driver from Team ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport is traveling to the season’s last two races at Battersea Park in London as the leader of the standings with a one-point advantage. In the teams’ classification, the squad, with a deficit of eleven points, is within striking distance as well. Even before the showdown the track record of the ABT Schaeffler FE01 electric race car with a powertrain jointly developed by Schaeffler and the team is impressive. In the eight rounds to date, Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt have clinched a total of nine podium places including three victories. On the tight 2.925-kilometer circuit that offers only few overtaking opportunities, the decision will now be made between di Grassi and Renault factory driver Sébastien Buemi. Formula E is holding two races in London in which, including the points for fastest laps and pole positions, 60 points are yet to be awarded. The events start on Saturday and Sunday at 16:00 local time (17:00 CEST). DMAX will be airing live coverage of each event, starting at 16:45.
