NSK expands its range of high performance bearings

NSK has significantly expanded the NSKHPS range of high performance bearings. Spherical roller bearings with sizes from 400 to 600 mm are now available for customers.

These bearings provide twice the service life of conventional bearings and provide 30% lower heat dissipation and stable operation at high temperatures.

HPS bearings also help increase productivity and lower maintenance costs due to extended service intervals, long service life and high reliability.

NSK strengthens its position in the secondary market, focusing on the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment. Business and customers require reliable and resourceful products that will have long service intervals, but at the same time do not lose their resource and characteristics.

NSK uses its development, engineering, special alloys and latest manufacturing technologies to expand its product range and increase the performance of its standard bearings. Since NSK first introduced the NSKHPS series of small spherical roller bearings back in 2004, it added angular contact ball bearings to this line in 2009, and in 2013 deep groove ball bearings and small cylindrical roller bearings, as well as some other types.

Due to increased demand, NSK has expanded the size range of its NSKHPS spherical roller bearings to further strengthen its market position.

NSK investigated the cause of damage characteristic of spherical roller bearings to develop a technology that extends bearing life. In addition to this technology, NSK has developed and applied low heat technology to produce new bearings.

New HPS bearings provide optimal friction of the outer ring and rollers and reduce slippage of the inner ring and rollers, providing twice the bearing life.

The design of the cage and guide ring has been optimized to suppress tilt in the rollers, creating 30% less heat than conventional bearings.
