Key Technology Research and Application of Spindle Bearings for Offshore High-Power Wind Turbines from Xinqianglian Bearing passed expert appraisal

On February 26, the China Bearing Industry Association organized experts in Luoyang to appraise the results of LYXQL's "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Main Shaft Bearings of Offshore High-Power Wind Turbines". The expert group believed that "the project has independent intellectual property rights, is highly innovative in key common technologies for main shaft bearings of high-power offshore wind turbines, and its overall technology has reached the international advanced level."

At the meeting, experts from the Project Appraisal Committee listened to the project report. After questioning and review, the Project Appraisal Committee unanimously agreed that the overall technology of key technology research and application of main shaft bearings for offshore high-power wind turbines has reached the international advanced level.

It is reported that the project aims to meet the requirements of offshore wind turbine spindle bearings to serve for more than 25 years under extreme working conditions such as heavy and variable loads, high and low temperatures, corrosion, and radiation. The composition system of 42CrMo4 steel has been optimized, the high-purity steel smelting process and the high-density, low-segregation billet making process have been solidified, and the new material 42CrMo4-L steel for high-power offshore wind turbine main shaft bearings has been developed, which has improved the material's hardenability and hardening capacity, yield strength, tensile strength and low-temperature impact work; the rolling process method for bearing ring forgings based on the regulation of motion posture, geometric shape and organizational morphology has been developed, and the shape control technology for super-large bearing rings has been formed, realizing the batch and stable production of bearing ring forgings; the medium-frequency induction quenching method for bearing rings without soft bands has been developed, which solves the problem of the sensor deviating from the rotation center, optimizes the medium-frequency quenching process parameters, and ensures the depth, hardness uniformity and consistency of the bearing without soft band quenching; the large-size spherical roller and cylindrical roller pair shaping technology has been invented, which has improved the load-bearing capacity, life and reliability of high-power offshore wind turbine main shaft bearings.
