As the Western Canada Carbon Lead for Stantec, she leads a cross-disciplinary team focused on reducing carbon emissions in the built environment and enhancing community resilience. Her leadership roles—including Founding Chair of the Smart Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure Association and Co-Chair of the City of Edmonton’s Emission Neutral Steering Committee—highlight her deep commitment to sustainable development. “These events are crucial for driving both environmental and economic benefits in industrial operations,” says Doran. “Understanding the impacts of climate change and how to mitigate the associated risk with planning and proactive management of assets is critical.” In her keynote, Doran will explore the critical role of building asset management in Canada’s journey to net-zero emissions by 2050.
