On May 10, 2025, Jiang Wei, leader of Luoyang Bearing Research Institute, and his team visited Chenxin Bearing Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. to conduct in-depth exchanges on the joint development and production of high-end bearing steel wire.
As a leading enterprise in the domestic bearing industry, the Axis Research Institute focuses on the demand for high-end bearings in the fields of aerospace, new energy, etc., and clearly defines the strength and fatigue resistance of steel wire as key technical bottlenecks, and urgently needs to work with upstream material companies to tackle them. Relying on the industrial foundation of "China's Steel Ball Hometown", Chenxin Technology has built an advanced green smart factory, and its first phase project will be put into production this year.
The two parties reached a cooperation intention on the spot and plan to start a joint pilot production line in the third quarter. The Axis Research Institute will open up the resources of the national testing and engineering research center, and jointly build a "high-end bearing steel wire joint laboratory" with Chenxin, focusing on heat treatment process optimization, surface defect control and other technologies, and promoting the "material-bearing-application" full chain verification.
This cooperation marks another breakthrough in the "strengthening and supplementing" of the high-end bearing industry chain, injecting new momentum into the upgrading of domestic high-end bearing technology.
