Recently, the market supervision department of Changshu City, Jiangsu Province reported the progress of intellectual property protection in the first six months of this year. Among them, in the special action to crack down on counterfeit well-known brand bearings, law enforcement agencies concentrated their efforts on investigating multiple companies suspected of selling counterfeit "SKF" trademark bearings, investigated and dealt with 6 units involved in the case, and seized a total of 4,605 sets of counterfeit bearing products on the spot, effectively curbing the occurrence of regional trademark infringement.

As an internationally renowned bearing manufacturer with a century-old history, Swedish SKF has been deeply involved in the Chinese market for many years, and its product quality and technical performance are widely recognized by users. But at the same time, due to its high brand awareness and large market demand, the brand has also become a target for some lawless elements to make and sell counterfeit goods.

Counterfeit bearings not only infringe on the intellectual property rights of enterprises, but may also affect the stability of equipment operation due to poor quality, and even bring safety hazards. To this end, the Changshu Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has listed the crackdown on such illegal activities as one of its key tasks and continued to strengthen supervision and law enforcement.

During this special rectification action, the market supervision department conducted clue investigation in advance, locked in key target enterprises, and organized local law enforcement forces to uniformly implement surprise inspections. The entire law enforcement process was strictly carried out in accordance with the law, and the on-site evidence collection was standardized and the procedures were transparent to ensure that the case was handled legally and in compliance with regulations.

Through this action, not only a large number of counterfeit bearing products were seized, but also the related illegal chains were cut off, which played a positive role in purifying the local market environment and maintaining fair competition order.

In addition to this anti-counterfeiting of bearings, Changshu Market Supervision Bureau has always regarded intellectual property protection as a key work direction in recent years, and has continued to carry out various law enforcement actions around outstanding issues such as trademark infringement, false propaganda, and illegal agency.

According to statistics, in the first half of 2025, the city investigated and dealt with 120 cases involving trademark infringement, transferred 19 major cases to the public security organs, and seized a total of 79,034 counterfeit goods of various types, covering multiple industries. These data reflect the firm determination and efficient execution of the local market supervision system in combating infringement and counterfeiting.
