2025 China Wafangdian Bearing Industry Supply Chain Integration Conference Successfully Held

On August 8th, Wafangdian City held the 2025 Wafangdian Bearing Industry Supply Chain Strengthening and Extension Supply Chain Matching Conference. Representatives from national and provincial bearing associations, as well as well-known companies and research institutes from Beijing, Wuhan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Shandong, and Shanghai, gathered for in-depth discussions focusing on precise supply and demand alignment, efficient integration of innovative resources, and deep financial empowerment. The conference aimed to build consensus through supply and demand alignment and resolve challenges through collaborative innovation. The conference aims to jointly propel China's bearing industry toward the middle and high end of the global value chain, inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of the city's bearing industry, and contribute "Wafangdian Strength" to the development of a manufacturing powerhouse.

Feng Meng, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Ma Yingji, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, attended the meeting. Mayor Sun Zong also attended and delivered a speech. Zhou Yu, Chairman of the China Bearing Industry Association, Niu Hui, Secretary-General, and Xu Xiaodong, Deputy Director of the Dalian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, were also invited to participate.

Vice Mayor Zhou Shuai presented Wafangdian's market situation at the meeting, comprehensively showcasing its unique advantages in the bearing industry, from its solid industrial foundation and favorable policies to its broad prospects for cooperation. He sincerely invited all parties to work together to explore new opportunities for development.

During the demand sharing and company presentation sessions, participating companies including CRRC Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., Northeast Special Steel Group Co., Ltd., Wafangdian Bearing Group Co., Ltd., Dalian Metallurgical Bearing Co., Ltd., Wafangdian Metallurgical Bearing Group Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huazhong CNC Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Rifa Precision Machine Tool Co., Ltd., and Xinggui (Jiangsu) Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. engaged in in-depth discussions and practical exchanges around core topics such as stable raw material supply, collaborative R&D of key components, upgrading precision machining technology, and precisely matching market supply and demand. These discussions effectively tapped into the enormous potential for coordinated development of the industrial chain and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. In addition, the Postal Savings Bank of China introduced financial services tailored for the bearing industry, allowing businesses to truly experience the strong support provided by financial institutions for industrial development. China Unicom (Dalian) Industrial Internet Research Institute promoted the functions of the "Bearing Industry Brain," a project under Liaoning Province's "Unveiling the Challenges and Leading the Leaders" initiative, showcasing the broad prospects for the integration of digitalization and the bearing industry.

After the matchmaking meeting, over ten non-local companies held on-site discussions and reached preliminary cooperation agreements with over 20 companies in our city. The Municipal Science and Industry Bureau will continue to monitor the results of these matchmaking events and leverage this opportunity to encourage key non-local companies to conduct investment discussions in our city, furthering the impact of the meeting.

Wafangdian, one of the birthplaces of China's bearing industry, has experienced over 80 years of development and innovation, earning it the title of "National New Industrialization Demonstration Base" and ranking among the "Top 50 Chinese Industrial Clusters." Our city has established a complete bearing industry chain, accumulated a deep technical foundation, and nurtured a group of key enterprises committed to industry and innovation. The convening of this supply-demand matching meeting is not only a key initiative for the city's bearing industry to achieve high-quality development, but also a strategic move focused on the present and planning for the long term. It represents both a proactive implementation of the national "manufacturing power" strategy and a proactive role for the Wafangdian bearing industry to break through development bottlenecks and seize the commanding heights of the industry. By establishing this high-end platform for supply-demand matching, technological collaboration, and resource sharing, it will further address bottlenecks in the bearing industry chain, fill gaps in the innovation chain, and stimulate the vitality of the talent chain. This will propel the bearing industry from "single-point breakthroughs" to "systematic upgrades," and from "scale advantages" to "specialization, precision, and innovation." At the same time, private enterprises will also seize this opportunity to strengthen independent innovation, continuously improve quality, efficiency, and core competitiveness, seize development opportunities, and inject greater momentum into industrial development.

Nearly 300 people attended the meeting, including city leaders Liu Xiaojun, Song Jiabao, Sun Yufeng, and Liu Xiaodong, as well as representatives from provincial bearing associations, experts and scholars from research institutes, entrepreneurs from upstream and downstream of the bearing industry chain, and representatives from financial and insurance institutions stationed in Wafangdian.
