Changjiang Bearing Records a Production Output of 326,000 Hub Bearings in Two Months
In the summer of the mountain city, the heat wave surges. In the new plant of Changjiang Bearing Donggang Branch, located in the Advanced Automotive Electronics Industrial Park, a total of 326,000 sets of third-generation wheel hub bearings rolled off the production line as scheduled in June and July, heading to the assembly lines of car companies such as Changan and Chery.

On August 19th, inside the 6,000-square-meter factory, four automated production lines were operating at high speed. Robotic arms precisely grasped bearing components, AGVs shuttled along predetermined tracks to deliver materials, and in key workshops like the grinding process, industrial-grade air conditioning systems maintained temperatures within a range of 25°C ±2°C, with the heat waves shielded by the reflective insulation coating on the factory roof.

Chen Yu, Party Secretary and Chairman of Changjiang Bearing, explained that the new plant primarily focuses on high-end new energy vehicle bearings. Production began in December of last year and currently boasts an annual production capacity of 2.4 million units, generating an additional 200 million yuan in annual sales revenue.
"The orders expected to be delivered in August cover 12 new energy vehicle projects, including the Changan CPA platform and the Chery T22/T26," said Xu Xianyou, Director of the Donggang Branch, pointing to the silver wheel hub bearing units being packaged. "We have a 100% delivery completion rate. Our products feature low torque and lightweight design to improve vehicle range."
Faced with persistent high temperatures, Changjiang Bearing's heatstroke prevention system is as integrated as its precision bearing components. Through cooling system upgrades, grinding machines are equipped with a dual-circulation system of water and oil cooling, ensuring spindle temperatures remain below 35°C. A dynamic production scheduling strategy is implemented, shifting heat-generating processes like grinding and heat treatment to cooler nighttime hours, prioritizing precision assembly operations in a constant-temperature workshop. Furthermore, temperature monitoring is implemented throughout the entire process, with 200 IoT sensors monitoring equipment and material temperatures in real time, with data directly connected to the MES system. In the workers' rest area, there are ample supplies of cooling oil, Huoxiang Zhengqi liquid, and other heat-relief products.
From January to July 2025, Changjiang Bearing reported impressive results: new orders totaling 1.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16%, achieving a 65% target completion rate; operating revenue of 1.043 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%, achieving a 61% target completion rate; and profit increasing by 30% year-on-year, achieving a 57% target completion rate.
These impressive figures stem from the accumulated experience of its intelligent manufacturing transformation. In the first half of the year, the company invested nearly 25 million yuan in R&D, launching 24 R&D projects covering 36 product models. The company focused on technological breakthroughs in deep groove ball bearings and wheel hub bearing units, achieving a new product output value of 188 million yuan. Furthermore, the "Phase III" technological transformation project achieved initial success, with 98% of production equipment now operational and the intelligent logistics and warehousing system commissioned and operational. This significantly improved production efficiency, driving the transformation and upgrade to intelligent manufacturing, earning it the title of "Manufacturing Transformation Demonstration Enterprise" in Nan'an.
