China Zhenhua Bearing First European Plant Enters Commissioning Phase
Recently, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZPMC") invested in the construction of its first European factory in Bulgaria and entered the commissioning stage, becoming a key fulcrum for the company to expand into the European market.
Since 2008, ZPMC has been deeply involved in the global supply chain of a Fortune 500 company, supplying drive shaft parts to 13 of its factories in 10 countries, including France, Italy, Japan, and the United States. In June 2022, the company planned to exit its existing European factory due to price constraints, presenting ZPMC with the opportunity to undertake its localized production project in Europe. This business, covering the European and South American markets, has an annual demand of over 15 million units and annual sales of approximately 6 million euros. Faced with this competition, ZPMC swiftly conducted research, submitted an application for a factory, and received approval. In June 2024, the project received government approval and local company registration was completed.
Since March of this year, four batches of production equipment have arrived at the Bulgarian factory, which is currently undergoing commissioning and is expected to begin trial production by the end of the year.
