Lixing Group enters the robotics market with the establishment of a factory in Rugao
On September 16, Lixing Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Lixing General Steel Ball Co., Ltd., stock code 300421) announced that it plans to jointly invest with Shanghai Jiyou Mingyu Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Jiyou"), Shanghai United Rolling Bearing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai United"), and Shanghai Gaoxing Shinian Business Consulting Partnership (Limited Partnership) (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Gaoxing") to establish Jiyou Lixing (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiyou Lixing"), with a registered capital of 100 million yuan.
The announcement indicates that the joint venture will focus on the needs of national strategic industries, supplemented by the needs of hot markets, and will focus on developing related and derivative products in the upstream and downstream supply chains of new energy vehicles, automation equipment, and robotics. Leveraging the overseas channels and brand resources of each party, the joint venture will jointly explore key international markets such as Europe and North America, aiming to build a high-end Chinese transmission component brand.
Reporters learned that on the afternoon of September 16, Lixing Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jiyou held a signing ceremony for the joint venture in Rugao, Jiangsu. To leverage the strengths of each location, the joint venture's R&D will be located in Shanghai, with the factory located in Rugao, Jiangsu, Lixing Co., Ltd.'s headquarters.
Shi Bo, General Manager of Lixing Co., Ltd., stated that the joint venture will focus on three key areas: new energy vehicles, embodied intelligent robotics, and international market expansion. The company will release its first embodied intelligent product in December 2025, complete its overseas market expansion into Europe and North America in 2026, and establish a product pipeline for new energy vehicles and ceramic silicon nitride by 2027.
Public information indicates that Shanghai Jiyou, affiliated with Shanghai Electric Group, has long focused on the research and development and production of basic mechanical components, with product lines covering bearings, fasteners, cutting tools, and other sub-sectors.
"Since signing the framework agreement with Lixing Co., Ltd. in July, many of the initial ideas have been rapidly transformed into the first steps of concrete implementation in just over two months," said Ding Yuqing, Executive Director and General Manager of Shanghai Jiyou. The company will leverage its Rugao Precision Transmission Parts Base to drive the industrial chain towards high-end, green, and intelligent upgrades. In the future, the joint venture will leverage its global vision to explore new energy vehicles, automation equipment, and robotics, aiming to build an international brand of high-end transmission components that represents China's advanced intelligent manufacturing.
Founded in 1989, Lixing Co., Ltd. has entered the global procurement systems of the world's eight largest bearing manufacturers and indirectly serves several internationally renowned robotics manufacturers through these giants.
