CW Bearing expands Guanajuato plant in Mexico

CW Bearings, headquartered in Cixi, Zhejiang Province, is a Chinese company whose core businesses include the research, development, and production of automotive parts, industrial robot bearings, home appliance bearings, and power tool bearings. After three years of equipment installation, process optimization, and the commissioning of new production lines, CW Bearings has completed the second phase of expansion at its Guanajuato manufacturing facility. The company is currently planning a third phase of expansion to support further growth and strengthen its position as a supplier to automotive OEMs.

"While the plant expansion was completed earlier, we have been busy installing machinery, optimizing processes, and preparing for long-term growth over the past three years," said Mauricio Ramírez Modesto, General Manager of CW Mexico Technologies. "This strategy will enable us to achieve a 50% to 60% sales increase over the next three years with minimal investment in additional space."

The Guanajuato facility, which initially opened in 2018, is part of CW Bearings' North American network, which includes manufacturing and sales operations in Northville, Michigan, corporate offices in Irvine, California, and distribution centers throughout Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. In 2022, the facility doubled its floor space from 5,100 square meters to 10,200 square meters.

This expansion created new jobs and solidified CW Bearings' role as a key contributor to the region. "This will primarily support growth in the automotive industry," said Kyle Weyers, Director of Industrial Sales. "It will also benefit industries that value local production, including recreational vehicles, automation, and robotics."
