2025 Oct Key Metallurgical Products Import and Export Bulletin
According to customs statistics, in October 2025, my country imported 503,000 tons of steel, a decrease of 45,000 tons or 8.2% month-on-month; the average price was US$1,593.0 per ton, a decrease of US$31.1 per ton or 1.9% month-on-month. From January to October, cumulative steel imports totaled 5.041 million tons, a decrease of 680,000 tons or 11.9% year-on-year.
In October 2025, my country imported 111.309 million tons of iron ore, a decrease of 5.017 million tons or 4.3% month-on-month; the average price was US$100.6 per ton, an increase of US$3.6 per ton or 3.7% month-on-month. From January to October, cumulative iron ore imports totaled 1,028.886 million tons, an increase of 6.95 million tons or 0.7% year-on-year.
In October 2025, my country exported 9.782 million tons of steel, a decrease of 683,000 tons or 6.5% month-on-month; the average price was US$684.4 per ton, an increase of US$5.3 per ton or 0.8% month-on-month. From January to October, cumulative steel exports reached 97.737 million tons, an increase of 6.024 million tons or 6.6% year-on-year.
