Guizhou Dushan County Bearing Enterprises: Forging a New Path Through Collaboration

On November 20th, rows of standardized factory buildings in Dushan Economic Development Zone were bustling with activity, their machines humming.

"Our monthly production capacity has jumped to 10 million sets," said Liu Jinfa, head of Guizhou Youlikai Precision Bearing Co., Ltd. He explained that the company relocated from Fujian nine years ago, initially producing only 2 million sets of bearings per month. With the support of the local government, the company has comprehensively upgraded its product system and has been recognized as a large-scale enterprise, producing over 80 different models.

Dushan Economic Development Zone is the largest and most comprehensively equipped small-scale bearing production base in the province, home to 27 bearing and supporting manufacturing enterprises and over 1,500 production lines. It can produce 1 billion sets of various miniature and extra-miniature deep groove ball bearings annually, including stainless steel, bearing steel, and carbon steel. In recent years, Dushan has guided enterprises towards differentiated and specialized development, attracting investment precisely and providing high-quality services to allow distinctive bearing companies to flourish in this area, jointly building a significant small-scale bearing production base in Southwest China.

As an important member of the park's bearing industry, Guizhou Yuansheng Industry focuses on the research and development and manufacturing of mid-to-high-end bearing seals. Factory director Mo Dingjun introduced that the company has achieved independent mold development, with an annual output of 400 million pieces. As the order volume continues to grow, the company is actively upgrading its equipment and promoting capacity expansion.

"Most of the company's profits are invested in equipment," said Cen Xianli, General Manager of Guizhou Fengda Bearing Co., Ltd. As a company specializing in stainless steel bearings, Fengda Bearing has established itself as a high-precision, ultra-micro bearing manufacturer. Closely monitoring the development trend of the low-altitude flight industry, it has introduced professional technical personnel and overcome production precision challenges. Today, Fengda Bearing's no-load performance is close to that of globally renowned micro-bearing brands. It has not only entered the supply chain systems of small appliance giants such as Philips and Midea, but also provides high-quality supporting services for high-end manufacturing industries such as unmanned aerial vehicles and precision instruments, and has established long-term cooperative relationships with many well-known domestic manufacturers.

When going out to negotiate business, Cen Xianli proactively promotes the bearing development environment in Dushan to partners in the industry chain. After receiving recommendations from companies, relevant government departments immediately organize on-site investigations and evaluations. This business-to-business approach to attracting investment has yielded significant results. Currently, more than half of the companies introduced to Area A of the Longdong Industrial Park in the expansion zone have settled in through this method. "Our companies complement each other's strengths, and in the future, we can develop into a large bearing 'supermarket.' Customers can basically meet most of their purchasing needs after a visit to the park," said Cen Xianli.

"In the past two years, we have successfully attracted six high-quality enterprises, including Aoyou, Jinrui, and Shuanghe. Jinrui plans to add bearing production equipment manufacturing to its business, which will fill the gap in the local industrial chain's equipment supply segment," said a relevant official from the Dushan Economic Development Zone. He added that the agglomeration effect of the bearing industry has become increasingly prominent in recent years, achieving a total industrial output value of 226 million yuan in 2024 and creating approximately 1,000 jobs.

From individual efforts to collaborative development, from low-end manufacturing to quality breakthroughs, the Dushan bearing industry is leveraging its cluster strength to forge a new path of high-quality development.
