Bridges

Spherical plain bearings accommodate misalignment, heavy loads, and oscillating movements in bridge engineering. They are used in expansion joints, allowing deck movement without stress. In bridge supports, they handle rotation and tilt caused by traffic, wind, or thermal changes. These bearings reduce friction, distribute forces evenly, and prevent component wear. Common in cable-stayed bridges, they connect stays to decks or towers. Their maintenance-free design and durability improve structural safety and lifespan, especially in seismic zones or curved bridges.
