The First 10MW Wind Turbine Gearbox Successfully Rolls Off the Production Line and Ships Out

Since 2025, CRRC Qishuyan Institute has thoroughly implemented the deployment of CRRC's Party building theme year of "Leading the Development of New Quality Productive Forces," focusing on the theme of "Setting Benchmarks, Serving as Examples, and Taking the Lead," using Party building to guide the development of new quality productive forces and making every effort to achieve a successful conclusion to the "14th Five-Year Plan." Since the fourth quarter, all units have focused on production challenges, concentrated their efforts on overcoming difficulties, and strived for excellence in various areas such as technological breakthroughs, market development, and quality improvement.

On October 27th, Baotou CRRC Qishuyan Wind Power Transmission Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Baotou Wind Power Company") reached a significant milestone – its first 10MW wind turbine gearbox was successfully loaded and shipped out of the factory to the customer's wind farm. This marks that Baotou Wind Power Company officially possesses the capability for mass production and delivery of large-megawatt wind turbine gearboxes.

As a crucial step in CRRC Qishuyan's strategic expansion in the wind power sector, the Baotou Wind Power Company has demonstrated efficient "CRRC speed" since the start of its construction.

Construction of the main factory building will begin in March 2025, with major equipment arriving in July, and full production commencing in September. The project took only six months from construction to production, efficiently achieving a rapid transition from infrastructure development to operation.

Since commencing production in September, Baotou Wind Power Company has entered a "wartime state," with all technical and management personnel voluntarily giving up weekends and holidays, working tirelessly day and night to overcome challenges and seize every minute.

After several days of intense work, the team efficiently developed a comprehensive production plan covering production line design, equipment installation, process layout, workstation placement, production line verification, and system construction, providing strong momentum for the smooth progress of the project.

Facing multiple challenges during the production ramp-up process, the team remained goal-oriented, upholding the firm belief of "mission accomplished," closely monitoring key milestones, and successfully overcoming a series of difficulties, including production line cycle optimization, multi-party collaborative operations, and test bench installation and debugging.  Finally, on October 27th, they successfully completed the shipment of the first gearbox.

As an important part of CRRC Qishuyan Institute's strategic layout of three major wind power gearbox production bases, the Baotou base has the capacity to produce 800 3-20MW wind power gearboxes annually.

The successful completion and shipment of the first wind power gearbox not only marks the complete integration of the production line from assembly and testing to shipment, forming a mass delivery capability, but also signifies important progress in CRRC Qishuyan Institute's strategic goals for the wind power gearbox industry.

In the future, under the unified strategic deployment of the Qishuyan Institute and the Wind Power Equipment Division, Baotou Wind Power Company will seize the crucial period of the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan," ensuring the high-quality completion of established goals.  At the same time, it will anchor itself to the Qishuyan Institute's "152" strategy and "Champion Qishuyan" development positioning, deeply cultivate the markets in Northeast, North, and Northwest China, and strive to build a regional strategic stronghold, providing solid support and strong momentum for high-quality development during the "15th Five-Year Plan"!
