NTN Obtains “DX Certification” from METI, advancing initiatives to strengthen its “earning power” and enhance corporate value through digital utilization
NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) announced that it has been certified as a “DX-Certified Operator” under the “DX Certification System” established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), effective February 1, 2026.
The DX Certification System is a government-led initiative based on the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing. The system is aligned with the “Digital Governance Code,” which outlines the requirements for corporate management in promoting digital transformation (DX). Under this system, companies that are recognized as having the necessary frameworks and readiness to advance DX are certified by the government.
NTN was certified as a DX-Certified Operator following an assessment of its DX vision, strategies, promotion framework, performance indicators, and progress. As a key measure of the Medium-term Management Plan, the NTN Group has set forth “Generate Profits by Utilizing Digital Technology” and is accelerating the use of digital technologies across all departments.
We have completely reconstructed our aging core systems and established a new information infrastructure that integrates and standardizes business processes and systems, enabling the timely and accurate utilization of data. In FY2024, we formulated the “NTN Global ICT Strategy,” under which we are promoting priority DX measures, including AI utilization, the advancement of production and development processes, and data-driven management.
We are also strengthening the development of “digital human resources” and “advanced digital human resources” equipped with both business and ICT skills and have introduced a company-wide digital human resources education system.
Through these initiatives, the NTN Group will continue to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enable rapid decision-making—working to strengthen our “earning power” and enhance corporate value.
